Job Description
We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Horticultural Park Keeper. This role will involve various tasks related to garden maintenance, guest engagement, and environmental education.
Responsibilities
Maintain the vegetable garden through sowing, transplanting, weeding, and general upkeep.
Guide park visitors, providing information about upcoming events, workshops, and educational opportunities.
Install and update signage throughout the park to enhance the guest experience.
Implement cultural rotation of transplantation to promote biodiversity.
Conduct pruning, growth control, and straw mulching to ensure plant health and vitality.
Manage the harvest counter, overseeing the collection and distribution of produce.
Prepare macerate and compost to support organic gardening practices.
Monitor and maintain the irrigation system to ensure proper hydration for plants.
Implement pest and disease control measures, including the application of organic solutions.
Requirements
Passion for nature, sustainability, and environmental stewardship.
Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, or related fields is preferred.
Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with guests of all ages.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the park.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
